BioBorn to the prestigious Silverberg family
of strategist in the Scarlet Moon Empire, Leon
embraced his heritage, and a maxim: minimize civilian
casualties - at all costs. Leon studied abroad in
various military institutions, like the Soledt
Military Academy in Harmonia, as well as prestigious
universities all over the world. During his studies,
he was a witness for the signing of the establishment
of Budehuc Castle. When he finished his studies at
the age of 16, he started hiring himself as a
strategist in minor military actions to pay off the
debts incurred for his own education for two years.
It is though these historically minor actions that
develop Leon's philosophy of minimizing civilian
casualties at all costs. In around SY 431, he
married a clever Scarlet Moon noblewoman named
Melissa, and a year later, had a son, George, who he
send off abroad for his education, since Leon
couldn't stand children. In around SY 438, his older
brother, Jonathan Silverberg, and his wife, were
killed by enemies of the Emperor, leaving behind
their two children, Mathiu and Odessa. Leon was
forced to raise them, as his finances conspired
against sending them to a boarding school, like his
own son George, was not a option. Though he did his
best, Mathiu and Odessa were not fond of their uncle.
However, Mathiu took to learning the family trade,
and was later an officer in the Imperial Army. In the
Succession War, he was recruited by Mathiu to help
Barbarossa Rugner to reclaim his throne. It was in
that conflict that earned Leon his renown as one of
the finest tacticians in the Northern Continent, and
gave him a place as Barbarossa's chief strategist.
When Jowstone went to war with Scarlet Moon two years
later, Leon suggested a plan to turn public sympathy
pro-war so simple, yet audacious, and cruel, that it
earned him a slap on the face from General Kilawher
Shulen for merely suggesting it, and it distanced him
from his nephew. His plan was to have the Imperial
Army massacre the citizens of Kalekka, leave no
survivors, and pin it on the City-States. In the
end, everyone was forced to agree on it. After the
Kalekka Incident, Leon moved there, not out of
regret, but because he liked the quiet. In SY 457,
he was approached by the Toran Liberation Army, who
had Mathiu as their chief strategist, and was
recruited by them. Seeing that the war was coming to
an end, Leon joined them in hopes of speeding things
along. Afterwards, he returned home to Kalekka
before being approached in SY 460 by Jowy Atreides to
be his strategist. During his tenure as a Highland
strategist, he helped orchestrate the death of Luca
Blight, and maintained his focus on ending the war as
quickly as possible with as few civilian casualties
as possible. However, during the war, he was
frequently paired against a student of Mathiu's, Shu.
After the Highland Army's defeat at L'Renouille, he
stayed behind to keep the Beast Rune sealed until
Riou and his allies arrived to defeat its
incarnation. After the war, as he stepped into his
home, he found himself stepping out of the inn at
Budehuc Castle...
